Our partnership with North Cambridge Academy (NCA), our state school partner, which educates young people in Arbury from Years 7-11, has been underway since 2018. The two schools work together to enhance access to high-quality education and from 2019, Stephen Perse Cambridge provided up to six new, fully-funded Sixth Form places a year for NCA alumni joining us for A Levels, this has now risen to eight new places in September 2025.

We are tremendously grateful to our partners at Costello Medical for their multi-year and ongoing support for this programme. Our three-way partnership is used as a best-practice case study by Cambridge 2030 to encourage further partnerships between companies and schools in the independent and state sectors to provide better educational opportunities and outcomes for able young people, regardless of their family circumstances. 

In 2025/26, ten current NCA bursary award holders (eight in Year 12 and two in Year 13) follow in the footsteps of seventeen previous award holders who have successfully completed Sixth Form to date and moved on to university and training opportunities in areas including: Law, Maritime Engineering, Nursing, Politics & International Relations, Physiotherapy, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biomedical Engineering, Physics and Astrophysics.
