In March, teams from our two Junior Schools, Fitzwilliam Building and Dame Bradbury’s, came together in the Fitzwilliam Hall for the culmination of this year’s STEM Competition: the final judging event, with the teams’ projects being assessed by our guest judge, Dr Hugh Shercliff of Cambridge University’s Engineering Department.

In February former Stephen Perse student Anne-Sophie Faivre kindly returned to the school to give a talk to Year 12 and 13 Politics and Sociology students.

The Year 6 Writing Club at Junior School Fitzwilliam Building have put together their first magazine called 'The Fitz Billboard'. The magazine is full of the latest news from Junior School Fitzwilliam Building including sport, drama, trips, music, teacher interviews and much more. 

Creating art is a useful tool when teaching children about empathy and helping them to recognise that people can have different views and opinions. They begin to understand that other people’s views can be equally important to their own and valued.

On Thursday 16 March, Year 5 pupils from Junior School Dame Bradbury’s and Fitzwilliam Building visited The Imperial War Museum, Duxford (IWM), as part of their topic ‘Are we nearly there yet?’ exploring transport through the ages.

It was another busy week in Forest School for our Kindergarten and Reception pupils.

Young children love spotting things in nature. Their curiosity and instinct to discover leads them to follow a ladybird and use a stick to dig in the mud.
