The outside world can seem scary to a small person. We make sure it’s a warm, welcoming, happy (and decidedly noisy) place where every challenge leads to a real achievement.
Ideas, toys, games and responsibilities are shared. Teamwork and joint projects teach the joys of working together and successes are celebrated in class, in the playground and in weekly assemblies.
And the fun doesn’t stop when the lessons are over. Enrichment activities happen during lunch-time or after school (we’re open until 5.30pm). Some activities are led by specialist coaches and others are led by our own staff. Clubs and activities range from gymnastics and football to learning French or getting creative in Cartoon Club.
"The people are kind and say things like, 'Well done!' and 'That’s good!'"“
Parents and siblings are very much involved, sharing their skills and interests, from painting on silk to telling us about their travels. Our special themed assemblies are always packed with families keen to see what we’ve been up to.
By the time they’re ready to move on to Rosedale House, our children are eager to embrace the next stage of their lives with buckets of confidence, open arms – and a big grin.
